Chris Hartman of the Fairness Campaign

Rusty starts on Year 2 with Chris Hartman, director of the Fairness Campaign, and Life Coach Sherry Whitehouse.

Chris, of course, was pretty happy about Judge John Heyburn’s ruling this week that opens the door for gay marriage to become legal in Kentucky. As he points out, however, there is still plenty of discrimination in the Commonwealth.  Sherry had a life-changing experience that led her to escape the 9-to-5 life as a corporate IT exec to become a life coach, helping people get through all sorts of problems.

I missed some big news while I was gone — including the story of the horse trainer who punched a publisher on the Churchill Downs backside. I think there are few things less popular than parking meters, and the city just raised its rates. WFPL reported that the most-ticketed meters are right by the Louisville.am studios on Dundee. This was also the week the University of Louisville officially became a member of the Atlantic Coast Conference, a transforming moment in the school’s history.  Plus, you’ll hear all about my vacation and my move to a new home on this week’s Rusty Satellite Show.
