Rusty heads into a December to remember with another great show featuring a couple of the most interesting people in the ‘Ville. The first course is a tasty interview with Bobby Benjamin, who is celebrating the one-year anniversary of his popular Butchertown Grocery by opening up Lola’s Lounge upstairs. You’ll enjoy hearing Benjamin talk about his passion for cooking, family and food.
Guest co-host Caroline Knop brings along her very interesting brother, former Cardinal footballer Otto Knop Jr. Otto shares some stories from the Vince Gibson era at U of L, long before there was any talk of big stadiums and national titles. Otto is a strong supporter of the current crew, and runs a successful business catering to bottlers of local spirits.
Caroline and Otto have six other siblings, so you can imagine it’s a tight-knot family. We also discuss some of the exciting events coming up in December, including this weekend’s Tailspin Festival pre-sale specials. In the news, we’re sorry to hear of the tragedy in Gatlinburg. Locally, Mayor Fischer and Gov. Bevin aired their differing views on what to do about gun violence.
There’s plenty of fun things going on around town, and you’ll hear about some of them right here on the Rusty Satellite Show.
