If you’ve been to Jeffersontown lately, you’ve noticed some big changes — primarily those big arches on Taylorsville Road. But there’s a lot more that Mayor Bill Dieruf is doing to promote his (and my) city, and we talk about some of them on this Rusty Satellite Show. I also sat down with the University of Louisville’s Dr. Craig Blakely to talk about public health. The Texas transplant has plenty of interesting things to say and is moving forward with way to improve our environment for health.
In the news, I’m attacking the local TV media for falling for the Purge hoax and scaring the shit out of citizens, for no reason. There’s also a bit of controversy in a story involving two ex-Rusty guests — Carolyn Gaeta McLean (host of the Deadbeat TV show) and WAVE-TV’s John Boel. And then there’s a Councilman Dan Johnson update, as our favorite elected official digs a deeper hole talking about his finances. But at least it’s almost football season, and ex Rusty guest Nick Stover is experimenting with some cool new technology over at U of L’s Athletic Department in advance of the season opener against Miami.
It’s another great episode of the only podcast featuring the most interesting people in the ‘Ville. Thanks for listening.
