JD Shelburne Hits the Charts; Anne Jewell is Slugger’s Big Hitter
JD Shelburne has plenty of local fans and still plays a lot of shows around here, but the Taylorsville native has his eyes on a bigger prize, like having a #1 country hit. Anne Jewell has been in charge at the Slugger Museum almost from the time the big bat was installed in the late 1990s. Our Bourbon City Guest of the Week tells me about some upcoming renovations, the success of the Sandlot exhibit and how they paint the big bat in our interview.
The rain that canceled half of Bourbon and Beyond and all of Louder Than Life is finally out of here. And I’m glad to hear the promoters are determined to come back. Kevin Cosby.
The fact that Louisville’s football team has stunk it up in its first four games won’t keep me from seeing what they can do against Florida State Saturday. This weekend’s best event may be NuLu Fest on Saturday.
Hear all about it on the Rusty Satellite Show, featuring the most interesting people in the ‘Ville, sponsored by Passport Health Plan, Louisville Tourism, Heuser Health and the Eye Care Institute.
