I finally caught up with my friend Chris Thieneman in between his trips to Thailand. The former U of L All-American and Dallas Cowboy is a passionate advocate for whatever issue is on his plate. He started a successful charity event, led opposition to a library tax and ran for Congress and Mayor. In the show, he says he’s looking forward to clearing his name in court in July, and discusses his latest venture — a reality show/travel business based on visits to Thailand. You’ll want to listen in and hear about this.
Dr. Robin Youngson lives in New Zealand, but spent six weeks in Louisville on a mission to help health care providers build compassion into their jobs. Listen to hear about the successful venture that united the health care community here.
In the news, the Metro Council is finally taking up an ordinance on home-sharing sites like Airbnb, a thoroughly unwelcome initiative for those of us who offer to rent our homes online. The political landscape just got a little more interesting with the announcement the Kentucky Sports Radio host Matt Jones willl emcee festivities at Fancy Farm in August. And finally, a long-time TV show, Andy Treinen, is moving on from TV. It’s all in the 99th episode of the Rusty Satellite Show.
