I would never say out loud that Rick Sanders is overqualified to be the police chief in Jeffersontown, but he probably has more law enforcement experience, on a national basis, than he needs. But that’s a plus for Jtown, which is gearing up for the annual Gaslight Festival. I talk with the Chief about body cameras, race relations and how he got the job here.
Mo McKnight Howe is the third member of her family to appear on the Rusty show, and we got a pleasant interruption during our taping at Revelry Gallery in NuLu. It was Kelly McKnight, the proud patriarch of a very creative crew. Mo is celebrating five years of operating one of the coolest galleries in the city.
Plus, there’s a lots of interesting things going on with former Rusty guests, including Wayne Estopinal and Amanda Duffy of the city’s soccer movement, Karl Schmitt got a longer commitment for the Ironman event, Dawn Yankeelov’s Tech Fest is going on this weekend, and Roger Baylor is selling the New Albanian across the River to focus on his Mayoral run. It’s all here in this week’s Rusty Satellite Show.
