Getting Healthy with Dr. Louis Heuser; Joe Gerth on Covering Pols

Another couple of great, interesting guests drop by the Satellite for a conversation with Rusty. Dr. Louis Heuser has a fascinating life story, from growing up in the West End and PRP to pole vaulting at the University of Florida, then a 30-year career as a surgeon. Then he changed focus from working on the sick to working to help the healthy stay that way. Dr. Heuser’s three-tiered program focuses on diagnostics, nutrition, and exercise.

Joe Gerth has never really left his hometown, fashioning a successful career as a reporter for 27 years at the Courier-Journal. Which is saying a lot, considering all the changes in the way the media business works these days. That’s why Gerth calls himself a survivor, and you’ll hear how he has adapted and remained one of the best in the business.

I went to French Lick last weekend for a little getaway, and came back with some great experiences. You’ll hear about that, plus the controversial new religious law in Indiana, and how Kentucky’s governor is dealing with a gay marriage ban. There’s plenty of news on the local front as the countdown to Derby is on. And you’ll have to listen to learn how to win a $50 gift certificate to Loui Loui’s Authentic Detroit-Style Pizza. Tell your friends, and tune in to the Rusty Satellite Show.
