Rusty Satellite is all fired up for the Cats vs. Cards basketball game, so we talked with the Voice of the Wildcats, Tom Leach. The game’s at the Yum! Center next Wednesday, and this time the Cats are favored. I talk with Tom about his fascinating career path, the outlook for the big game and what it’s like to work with Coach John Calipari.
My second guest is Connie Willis, who is back in her hometown after spending a few decades in radio and TV around the country. As a radio host, she’s a regular fill-in on the Coast to Coast overnight show, regularly broadcast in Louisville on WHAS-840. She’s an expert and believer in the paranormal, and says there are ghosts and supernatural things happening all the time. Even here.
Connie joins me as co-host of the news segment, as we discuss Christmas movies (It’s A Wonderful Life is showing Sunday at the Palace), Lamar Jackson’s wardrobe, and the disgraceful mess left behind at U of L by Jim Ramsey. In restaurant news, there’s a surprise closing at the Germantown Craft House. Finally, in sports, my WKU Hilltoppers hired a new football coach, and I like him.
